Located north of Mason City this is the eastern Union Pacific bridge across the Winnebago River.
Built in 1951 to replace an older four span bridge, this structure features two deck girder spans, set onto stone piers. It is approached by trestle spans on either side.
The previous bridge was an interesting example of a bridge supported by temporary piers. It is unknown what the history of that bridge was.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition.

The author has ranked the bridge as being minimally significant, due to the common design and newer age.
